About Us

Our hotel

Located in the heart of Urubamba, Tariq Sacred Valley is a tranquil retreat set amidst lush gardens, surrounded by the Andes and the fertile lands of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Despite its central location, the hotel feels like a peaceful village — a place where nature, culture, and community come together.

The property is composed of 27 rooms spread across several small buildings, designed like a traditional Andean pueblo. Winding paths connect the rooms to a central plaza, a small chapel, and shared spaces that invite guests to slow down, wander, and reconnect. Earthy tones, warm colors, natural textures, and abundant greenery create an atmosphere that feels both grounded and welcoming.

Tariq Sacred Valley is a place to rest between explorations, to enjoy the rhythm of the valley, and to experience hospitality that is thoughtful, human, and deeply connected to its surroundings.

Our
restaurant & bar

At Tariq Sacred Valley, food is an extension of our connection to place. Our restaurant celebrates local and seasonal ingredients, many sourced from nearby producers in the Sacred Valley.

The menu is inspired by Andean traditions and contemporary flavors, offering fresh, honest cuisine in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Meals are meant to be enjoyed slowly — whether starting the day with breakfast overlooking the gardens or sharing a quiet dinner after a day of discovery.

The bar complements this experience with natural juices, herbal infusions, and carefully selected drinks, creating a space to gather, reflect, and enjoy the simple pleasure of being present.

Workshops

Our workshops invite guests to reconnect with ancient Andean knowledge through hands-on experiences shaped by tradition, creativity, and community. Held in our small chapel and surrounding spaces, these intimate encounters offer a quiet setting for learning, reflection, and cultural exchange.

Guests may take part in traditional weaving or pottery workshops, explore the richness of Andean foods and ancestral superfoods, or discover the cultural and spiritual significance of cacao through guided chocolate experiences. Each activity is led by local artisans and knowledge keepers who share techniques, stories, and wisdom passed down through generations.

Rather than simply observing, these workshops encourage presence and participation. They offer a gentle way to slow down, connect with local culture, and experience the Sacred Valley through its living traditions, craftsmanship, and heritage.
